Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

It is about time! And I know it will save lives and prevent unnecessary deaths that have been increasing each year before the CDC finally grew a pair!!!

We all need to spread the word to any and every Baby Boomer we know because this is that important!

I've been battling this disease for almost twenty years since I started treatment back then and it would have saved so many lives since had the CDC been as proactive as they are today with this warning.

I've expressed this sentiment in a similar thread but feel this cannot be emphasized enough. Who is going to pay for tx?

Some of the very same people who are fond of this idea are against universal healthcare ...so it seems sort of pointless to champion an idea and vote against it's implementation in my most humble of opinions.

What I don't understand is how they enforce this? Will every doc test b-boomers and charge gov't for the test? I think it's a good idea but not sure how it will work.
