Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
It must say a lot about me or ds (or both) that the posts I find most important get ignored.
The problem in this great land of ours, unlike say the rest of the industrialized world, is that even if everyone gets tested who's going to pay for tx? Even if the affordable care act gets passed, a big 'if', it will probably be so watered down...I don't know....not feeling optimistic about the future of healthcare in this country as politicians get excellent healthcare for life while voting against it for the rest of us...
There are lots of different reasons people join web chat sites. Different agendas I suppose.
I like to share information about HCV, current events and treatment.
I feel we are on the cusp of many great things and I try to stay optimistic for a cure soon, very soon!
I look forward to sharing more and reading what others can share.
Have a good evening!
