My life has been saved at least 4 times by antibiotics.
Thanks! Sincerely
Oh, I wish I could have trialed with that stuff! But trials are just not possible for me - even if I did qualify. As far as qualifying, my age is a kicker (almost 67) as well as cirrhosis in many of the "good" trials - and the others are too far away for me to even contemplate - well, ALL of them are - living here in the wasteland.
So for me, I await FDA approval of Sova/Led - unless I can get the off-label Sova/Olysio - but that's a gamble as a Geno1 with that dang Q80K genome that really messed up the Olysio trial results for Geno 1a's who had it (1b's never have it). I would insist on being tested for that genome if my doc. wants to go for the off-label tx. And if I have it = no go. His NP has told me that the Sovaldi "mitigates" the adverse effects of the Q80K geonme, but that's not good enough for me. I just hope I can wait - I will know on 1/16 when I see the doc.
