Having issues after Treatment

Good news is I'm still non detected from the virus after completing a 24 week treatment. I finished treatment end of July. No out if nowheres I noticed a lot of bubbles in my urine around October 1st week. Saw a doctor and he did some test and they found protien leaking in my kidneys. They say the filters are not working correctly but my kidney function is still at 75% so now they want to do a kidney biopsy. I can't understand why this is happening. I have never had by issues with my kidneys only my liver. My transplant for my liver was done September 2012 September. Anyone had issues like this after treatment or after liver transplant?

Hi Billy. I too am having kidney issues. My creatinine is staying high, and the kidney specialist they sent me to said my kidney are functioning at 35 to 40 %. But he said that's not bad. Sounds bad to me! He said the Cyclosporine and also the fact that I've taken diuretics off and on are contributing to that. He also said that everyone, healthy or not, start gradually losing kidney functions at about the age of 40. I didn't know that. He took an ultrasound of my kidneys in his office and said they looked good, are normal size, and to see him again in April.

Well, I now see that you posted this twice, and I responded twice!! When I read this post from you, I thought my response yesterday didn't print. But now I see we both posted twice. (Maybe transplants cause weird stuff like this!!)

Don't know. Doctor said my Kidneys are operating at 75% and this is something else. He said it would be normal to have protein in the kidneys if I still had hep c, But now I don't I shouldn't be having these issues.

Hang in Billy. Keep the faith brother! They will figure it out. He is not done with you yet!
I didn't have that issue and I also didn't have A transplant. I did however do 48 weeks of triple. Did clear, and started riding bikes. I think that helped me to recover quickly.
