I would say that by the Autumn Solstice (21 Sep) this will be FDA approved. As soon as it is - it is on the shelves and docs can start prescribing it. WOW! This will be ONE PILL containing both drugs - taken ONCE a day - and in trials with thousands of people it kicked ASS (including cirrhotics).
I start off-label Sovaldi/Olysio tomorrow (!!!!) for 12 weeks, but if for some reason, it doesn't work, this is my back up. Heck, I probably could have waited for this as it has turned out, but my doc. says I need to treat asap - and he is very confident Sova/Oly is gonna work.
So all Geno 1's - (and I'm a 1a) - THIS is what we've been waiting for. Should not have difficulty getting it covered by insurance as it's a completely FDA approved tx for Geno 1's. AWESOME
WHOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO
How long have we waited for THIS?!?
thanks SO much for posting, allabout - this is what YOU will be doing, I know - and it won't be long!
I just sent emails to both of my State Senators, Congressman & FDA urging them to do what they can to speed the approval process & get these meds to market ASAP! It's easy to send emails to our reps & they sometimes prefer that to snail mail. I'm having my family & friends write as well. I might be ok to wait but I might not.
