My trial is still on-going so it's effectiveness is not known at this point. It is a Gilead drug and it's intent is to interfere with the formation of collagen which is what causes fibrosis. It was only a stage 2 trial.
I go back next week to Bethesda for my monthly follow-up visit. Only one more monthly visit and then it goes to twice a year. I don't know how long I will stay in the program. It's been a year of travel for me.

Shadow, I went every 2 weeks for an IV infusion. I had 11 infusions and I am done with that. Now they just check my blood. They do blood tests that I have never heard of. They do genetic testing. I think they want to make sure that I don't grow another head or leg.

I started all of the testing last February and my last visit will be this February. I got to see a lot of Washington DC on my trips.
