I had a week of the marijuanna munchies...NO not really but felt like it as I just get done eating and 1/2 later want to eat again....I usually eat two meals a day....that was pre-Harvoni days...yes "it" does want nurishment to fight the battle

I've actually lost weight but I've been trying to do that. I'm more active & my liver is working so I think that helps in the weight loss battle. My appetite has diminished & I'm satisfied with smaller portions. I'm so happy to have gone down 2 full sizes.. Good luck in the weight loss battle but winning the war against the dragon is the best win!

I only had one day I couldn't eat really that passed quickly....I would be in my casket and be asking for donuts....lol
I do hope to get some of this weight off after TX soon...at leaast 10

well bad news for me. went to the docs and I gained 12 pounds in 6 weeks. I can say I have been eating everything and anything, but I thought my jogging 25 miles a week, would make it a wash....not....rut roh....time to change my ways....quick like...pray I don't loose my job there will be layoff that will coincide with my TX completion...so that has added drastically to the stress eating.

Going into week 8 on Harvoni. Can't get enough to eat especially sweets. Put on weight. Have now started a high protein low carb diet to get rid of these pounds. Of course it is a small price to pay for the end result

I had major "munchies" the first week. I'm in week 2 and it's not as bad. But it was the weirdest feeling -- revenous hunger, no awareness of being full.

I have been eating out of control also. I have probably put on about 10 pounds (currently on week 11 Harvoni). Guess that's averaging almost a pound a week. Not good. I was about 25 lbs. overweight to begin with.

It slows down my digestive system majorly so I think that is part of the problem - food is just not exiting so it's just accumulating. Is anyone else having this problem on Harvoni?

I had an enormous appetite on Sovaldi/riba - My hepatologist told me that it was a 1st for him to hear as side effects.

I am guessing that I was feeing so much better and that is why I wanted to eat??

I mean it, everything tasted so good and I did NOT need to gain weight due to fatty liver. It was hard as I just loved to eat...Have gone back to normal later on in tx.

I started this post Dec.29. I ended treatment with Harvoni on March 9. I am Hep C undetected!!! I have been wondering about side effects of the Harvoni and any that might continue after treatment has ended.

I struggled with the hunger and eating the entire time and still am having some problems. I recently started doing no sugar/ no flour and that seems to be helping.

When I first had this hunger, I called the company. They said they had not heard of this as a side effect. Interesting as many of us have experienced this. I feel my metabolism has been affected from the Harvoni. I hope in time it will correct itself.

I have also had some issues with depression. I am thinking that some of the food choices might be contributing to the depression. I am attempting to exercise more. I go to water aerobics and just started yoga.

I thought about posting a couple of weeks ago to see what people were feeling after ending treatment.

It is still a miracle and I am so grateful for this medication and the outcome. My next viral load test is in June.

I gained some weight on Harvoni too. Wasn't really eating more food, but I put on 3 inches to my waist and 1 inch hips and bust. The hips came off within 2 weeks of EOT. The waist is stubborn. I'm still hoping it goes away without having to stop eating.

My last pill was May 15. I noticed a shift about 2 weeks later in my overall health. Another shift about 2 weeks after that. I think it's the drugs leaving my body.

I read a couple days ago about an unreported side effect of Harvoni, that it's an endocrine disruptor or something like that. So many things are, The article also said it gradually wears off after Tx.

Anyone else can point me to that information, I lost it, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks!

Is anyone taking any generic Sofosbuvir / Ribavirin? Of course the effect will be the same but I am just curious if the side effects are just the same?
