I have done a lot of pegintron with riba in the past. I treated twice and I did 18 months both times while holding down a job. unfortunately I never cleared. But this solvaldi, riba, and peg has been kicking my butt. Doc took me off the riba. White blood cells and platelets too low. Hope I have good results on just the peg and solvaldi. Don't know if he will put me back on riba if and when my numbers improve. My life is on hold until I get this behind me, .
I am a fortunate person, This time I'm able to stay home and just deal. I really thought I would handle this stuff better. Knocked the moncho right out of me.

I did Riba in a clinical trial and it kicked my ass at 1200 mgs but they reduced the dose to 600 and I felt FINE!

I've done tx before & it didn't work, I couldn't complete because I was not only feeling like death, but my labs became critical.
I'm in week 10 of solv/riba.
Started @ 1000mg riba. Immediately i began with sides, each week my HGB went down. I am hemochromatosis so started with abnormally high numbers but it didn't take long to get to hgb 9. I remember how sick I got before & told the dr to cut the riba dose or I would have to stop tx. He reduced to 600. Immediately felt better, but then the riba sides came back. I take it a day at a time. guessing my hgb stabilized somewhere. I feel well enough to complete the tx. I am not undetectable yet.
I have been disabled since prior to 1st tx., so I can pace myself, stay in bed, do whatever it takes.

You and I are on the same drugs and are having similar experiences. I have 33 days, 4 shots, 33 Sovaldi and 165 Riba to go.....but who is counting....ha ha ha!
It is a very rough ride, and all I can add is that you need to go one day at a time and sometimes on minute at a time, but you probably know that.
The drawback to not staying active and just staying home is that a person tends to focus more on the side effects then when they are mentally and physically active. And time seems to slow down when you do not stay active.
But having already done tx, you have developed your own coping techniques, we all do. All of them are right and valid. Whatever it takes to get through and beat this is.
