My dr said to get the flu shot. I made an appt for next Wed. I also put in a call today to find out about whooping cough vaccine. A nurse I know said a whole lot of people in the hosp. where she works are coughing their heads off & the staff are getting shots. I'll let you know what my doc says when I hear about that one.

I feel sorry for you missing & worrying about your cat. I know how heartbreaking it is. You never know tho Deb. Remember.... my cat...10 days.

Thanks for th info on the flu shot. I kinda feel like a may have a slight flu now. My belly is feeling sicker than usual. Better feel better by morning though, back to work for me. And thanks for reminding me about your cat coming back after10 days. Hope I get that lucky.

But if you're feeling like you have the real flu (as opposed to INF side effects) you should wait

I started end of october so I had mine b4 tx.
Ask your Dr. I am confident you will get one!

I was advised while on tx, to avoid people who have colds, etc...even on the healing side, even with the shot...wash hands often.....

i am pretty sure it was here a couple years ago I read that we should not get flu or other vaccines, or that it w/raise our viral load (temp, maybe?)

First I hope you have your kitty back by now but my step-daughter had a cat lost in Vegas for 3 months and got her back. So don't give up hope.

My clinical coordinator advised me to wait until my tx is over before getting the flu shot. I only have 3 wks left. I usually get the shot but not even sure I will this year. She also said to be sure it is the shot and not the nose spray. I am so sick of feeling like I have the flu that I haven't decided which way to go next. One day at a time!!!

While ON treatment? Oh heck no! They gave me those Hep A and B shots......that was bad enough.

I got the answer today re: the whooping cough vaccine. It (pertussis) comes w/tetnus shot. My dr said if I haven't had it in 10 yrs or more I could get it w/the flu shot. I don't remember when I got my last tetnus shot. have to call primary tomorrow. my Dr isn't the brightest bulb on the shelf, but she IS an infectious disease dr, so one can only hope she knows what she's talking about.

Thanks for all the advice.... I spoke to my hep nurse today and she said cause my ammune system is compromised already that I shouln't get the shot!!! She did say she would look into it more and get back to me. Guess I will wait abit. By the way still no Louie!!!!!!! Big tears streaming down my face. :(
