Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Suddenly it reared it's ugly head for no reason.......I was fortunate enough that they were just starting to come out with the "NEW" treatments.
I did Sovaldi/Riba treatment for 26 weeks and I am sure it is much shorter now.
DO it before your liver is completely destroyed.......I wish the new pills were out before my liver started deteriorating........I felt great until just one day.....

I was to the point I ignored the fact that I had Hep C
but boy, was I wrong. I think the doctors were wrong also as they just didn't know it was still killing my liver and other things in my body. I am/was geno 3A
EmerL - dON'T BE FOOLED BY "NORMAL" LABS, MANY OF US WERE NOT DIAGNOSED BECAUSE our labs were normal. Doctors over look the slight elevation in liver enzymes that can be caused by Tylenol or alcohol.
so, ten years here, ten years there, the virus lives & grows, quietly destroying your organs!
There are some lucky people whose body fights it off, but usually in early stages, not after decades of getting comfortable. Get the treatment!!!!
