Took my last Sovaldi/Galexos on Monday. Went for EOT consult and VL test today and will get results next week.
I am all done for now. Booked for SVR12 in Oct.
Clinical nurse is not expecting any surprises and advises I just enjoy the summer. Good advice!
Her only sadness is that so many of her patients cannot get access to the drugs. She has contacted the pharmas on their behalf, on compassionate grounds. No deal.
She is somewhat disgusted with the profits before people by them AND the huge additional markups the pharmacy adds to the already ridiculous price.
I feel very grateful that my partner's plan covered me. I do not take this for granted. I am a very lucky guy.

So happy for you Kramer. It has been a long road to a cure. We are fortunate to be diagnosed & able to pursue tx. A bigger blessing to have the right ins. & the doc writing the prescription for off-label. Wishing you a wonderful summer & good health. Congratulations. You persevered and got the meds and finished treatment. Others will too, in time. When the next two or three groups of drugs hit the market there will be competition and hopefully lower prices.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and well wishes. Yes it has been a very long haul. I joined DS originally over four years ago while on Interferon therspy. You have known me as a big blonde gorrilla, then a big gay rubber ducky and lately as the boogie afro kid. I've made some good friends and others who don't like me much. That's human nature, can't please everyone.
