Awesome find! I can show this to my mother so she can be less skeptical lol.

My hepatologist that I saw on the 21st didn't have much to add since last time, except that the SOV/LED is on its way. Since I have state insurance, she feels that they will most likely deny SOV/OLY, though I could definitely try. Currently they DO ACCEPT the SOV treatment with INF and RIBA included, so that would go through no problem. She knows that I don't want INF or RIBA and I gave her the info on the all-oral BMS trial that I want in and have since sent in doctor releases to - just waiting to hear back from them. She said she would send them a letter of her own.

My mother did mono-INF in the 90's for 6 months, and either didn't respond or it returned shortly - she doesn't talk about it. I tried last night to tell her about the few sides, but she is not convinced, and said that she wants to wait until her and her fiance have bought a house and have everything settled, so if she needs him to help her through treatment, he can. I tried telling her.....she is defiant. I actually think that RIBA would be good for her, since she has genetic iron overload.

I want into that trial, even though my labs are good, I DO have symptoms; fatigue all day, dizziness, eye problems, appetite changes, and memory loss/brain fog. AND.....I am only 34......ugh.

I felt bummed when I saw the geno 2 had a 50% response after 12wks with sovaldi/Rib. I thought it was higher.
Good info regardless.

Uhm Kathy I am under the impression your 50% might be low ..a tad.

It says 88 -90%!

Kathy I'm not sure why the site had much lower SVR numbers. It even said it's numbers were lower but it's a hell of a big discrepency.
Maybe you should do a little resaeach on your own and let us know!
