It looks like you have it going on. Beets are good for the liver. Eat them, drink beet juice. But just about ANY juice will be good for the liver. When I was on TX I craved blueberry smoothies and beet juice but not much else.. Hang in there.

The only drink besides water that I've tried and worked was protien shakes since we tend to lack protien having hepatitis; especially on treatment. It give me a lot more energy. The other people I've told about this and tried it told me the same thing about having a lot more energy! Good luck!

Water and protein powder to preserve muscle mass and prevent muscle wasting. Just because a person gains or doesn't lose weight doesn't mean they're not losing muscle. I've upped my water consumption from 32 oz. upon awakening to 44 oz. IMMEDIATELY upon awakening. Feeling even better now. I do all the healthy eating, but water seems to be numero uno for making oneself better. I just drink it even when I'm not thirsty. And I always carry water with me.

Water-water-water is the best! it helps flush everything right out of the body. I lived on popcycles the last two weeks before my transplant. When I was on treatment afterwards I didn't want to eat much but I made myself drink those protein drinks so I could stay healthy. You can pretty much eat whatever you want but try to stay on the healthy route. You won't regret it. Good luck. Paula
