We are not cirrhotic, but we are definitely 'pushing the envelope'. I have cleared the Hep C virus and have also recently stopped alcohol - so I'm hopeful that my score will gradually improve at least somewhat. You are likely a perfect candidate for treatment...and if you're not presently taking treatment then I'd encourage you to start it as soon as possible. Mine was 48 wks long - and I got along pretty well, in fact only missed about two weeks' total of my job...and otherwise worked throughout my treatment course. After the first few weeks, the side effects were minimal.
A final question for you: What kind of symptoms have you experienced so far?
Wishing you the best!

Symptoms -- floaters and eye pain, sensitivity to all chemicals (perfume, cigarettes, cleaning stuff). I had fatigue but who knows if it's from Hep C or life. Fatigue is better on the alternative treatment I;m doing, but nothing else is, it seems.
