i'm sure whats happening to me is just the tx and nothing to worry about so i'm not overly concerned, especially as the pain subsided after 3 days last week. it must be some sort of reaction to the shot methinks. if it is the meds thats fine. i'll just shrug it off and look forward to my next shot cos my liver obviously doesnt like whats happening. it is an alien substance to the liver and we all react in different ways to our shots and the pain might be one of my reactions.
there i go again, waffle waffle. hope i made sense. lol brain fog - no brain lol

Oh my Pepy, the only way you will know besides probably major discomfort, is when your doctor will pull you off treatment.

I will pray that you are not going to be stuck like these 2 other members who were pulled off tx due to this decompensating liver.

I am soo sorry to hear how advance your cirrhosis is, soo sorry.

May God watch over you during this time towards wellness.

One of those members is still here I will see what I can find out about how she felt the week he pulled her off tx.
She was due to go on holidays for a week or soo, so hopefully she's not gone yet.

i know the other two members you refer to and was shocked to learn of their probs. havent heard from either of them lately, but truly hope they are doing better. if you hear, please let me know how they are doing hon:)
i didnt remember to ask the hepatologist at my appt. i was thrown off cos i didnt see the hepatologist. instead, i saw the nurse both on that day and the following appt and she wanted to take me off tx. she called the doc in to look at me and i managed to pursuade him that i was ok to carry on. hehe...... so i'm still going strong and on week 6 this week. my VL load has come down to 400000, which is encouraging, but my platelets, wbc and hb are ever decreasing, slowly but surely. no matter, thats to be expected on tx. just hope they dont go too low. they tell me that if they go below 40 i will have to come off, but i've still got a bit to go til i reach that level.

wow, you're having some pretty bad sides. my first shot i had the worse lower back pain and could only crawl to the bathroom for about 5 hrs. next shot was better. now, i've sorta leveled out and just feel mild flu all the time, slightly achey, grouchy and mean.

i've pretty much leveled out now too to not so good days and bad days. i find that i feel better the day before my next shot is due. i've learnt to deal with the pain by watching what i eat. that seems to help and thats almost zero. lol...... i live off smoothies and water. if i eat anything solid i get the pain and it lasts for days, so solids are too risque for me, but also, if i eat anything solid, being diabetic and on tx, my sugar levals go sky high. so smoothies and water it is. yet i'm still gaining weight! doesnt make sense eh???
