I tried the pegasy/riba treatment in 2012 and actually plain interfeuron back in 1990.
The most recent peg/riba I could not complete - but I did finally clear,
not initially at 4 weeks, took longer - so don't give up. My mistake was I gave up too soon on the peg/riba at 10 weeks, so it came back.
If you can, hang in there as I know it is soo tough.
I am now on the Sovaldi/Riba full load (no interf) day one. Much easier to tolerate. I hate the fact that insurance or whatever controls what we have to do.
Used to be happy to be 3a, however not so happy anymore. Praying I can beat it this time....
Keep a positive attitude - as hard as it is, we are a lonely group geno type. They keep complaining about my fatty liver and my weight besides. I am 180.
I give you a lot of credit, stay strong...
Sending many hugs your way and prayers..
I had a too much going on when I did my tx in past, now I put tx first in my life....
Others have eventually become undie at later weeks, so just keep trying & drag your heart along.
You do know that Yes you will be able to do other treatments.
You have my total empathy. It just feels yuck to be "the one" who does not have good news, but you are not alone You are Not alone
It doesn't make sense that they would make you stop treatment at week 12 since you should have 24 weeks. I asked what happened if I wasn't UD at week 8 and week 12. I was told at week 8, no changes to current treatment but after 12 weeks I would be labeled a non-responder. (My course of treatment is 12 weeks)
