That is great news! As I understand it, the 'cured' svr label is based on statistics of people with similar results.... Its better than 99. something % that if you are svr after 6 months past tx, the virus will not come back. Seems like not much in this life is 'for sure' though.....the odds are highly in your favor!

You don't know...it could be anywhere from 0-14.9999. The current cures are "functional cures", which means that you no longer suffer the effects of HCV, but there MAY be virus hiding in your body somewhere which your immune system keeps in check. This is different from a "sterilizing cure" in which every trace of the virus is gone...not possible with HCV yet.

The chance of recurrence after SVR is less than 1%, especially if you take care of yourself and keep your immune system strong.

I have bene wondering about this stuff, too.o, it's 6 mos post tx. I wonder if that's the same for all oral non-I tretament like I'm on?

Hank, I had to crawl around on hands & knees for 6 hours on
the weather decks. While being beat with fire hoses. Then
crawled through a 40ft tunnel of rotting food. Then dumped in
a 500 gallons of piss & vinegar. King Neptune was next!!! Huge
man with a Olive stuck in his belly button, covered in lard!!! Had
to eat it out!!! I was a SK in the Navy!!! A lot of my close friends
were HT's though.
