Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
One thing I remain thankful for is still having decisions to make. Not everyone has that. I did ribavirin and I won't do it again . I'd rather take my chances . It's all too close.
We all have to make our own decisions. Some folks want every measure taken to prolong life. I do not. When my time comes it comes and I am ready for that.
I have every confidence that these drugs will be here in a few months, not years ..months. I will wait.
