I know you have said you have a level of fibrosis but if your liver function is good then HE is not looming and not easily precipitated by tranqs, opiates.
As your Dr. is Rx tranqs for you and is aware of your liver state I'd think it's not a worry for you.
My Dr. will dose them out to me on occasion and I still have a standing Rx for Oxy as I need it (don't at the moment though).
I think the importance of this article is for those that are compensating cirrhotics, that Rx need to be used with caution as to not push a struggling liver over the tipping point. It's then a fast cascade to the bottom when it might have been avoided.
