Chocolate Cravings

I am Day 26 on Harvoni! Yeah! Some days I feel in control of my eating/food choices and exercise. Other days are a different story. Today I have been craving and eating chocolate like crazy! I am trying to balance this with water. I keep telling myself tomorrow is another day and I will get back on track. I guess I am feeling out of balance. I am also very anxious about my labs which will be on Tuesday. This is the big one for the viral load.

Hey ElleB.....we share something in common beside the same avatar....and the fact I am a chocoholic. I am waiting for my first viral load results this Tuesday after being on Harvoni for 26 days as well.

I hope we both get good news.

Hello HealingHearts,

I joined DS in Oct., 2008 and forgot I had this avitar. I hadn't been back here since that treatment was stopped since I was a non responder.

I am glad we are twins. Interesting that our paths are also the same, down to the day where we are in the Harvoni treatment!

Good luck to both of us with this VL test! I'll post when I get some results!

I posted a few weeks ago asking about side effects and food. happyharvoni and bestshot mentioned the chocolate cravings. I am wondering how that is doing now. Someone mentioned having the cravings until treatment stopped.

LOL ElleeB. I had no idea that this was so common with Harvoni treatment. My cravings are really intense and I have had to make special trips to the store to get it. I'm gaining weight on this Harvoni diet...LOL!!

I will post my VL results as soon as they are in.

Healinghearts, you make me feel so much better! I've been going to Weight Watchers for sometime. I thought I was really motivated now that the holidays are over. It has been a challenge and now I realize it is not all my weaknesses. These cravings can be very strong! I have not made special trips to the store, but I have been eating the chocolate chips that are in the house for baking! LOL!!! Interesting, huh???

lol I ate the chocolate chips too...and cake and chocolate ice cream. I even ate dark chocolate which I despise, fudge, everything... I consumed 10 pounds of it over the holiday. this is a stressful time for all of us, even if the cravings weren't due to the medication, just for what we are going through is cause for consuming all our favorites... I suggest eat what you want, but continue to exercise to hopefully not gain too much.
