Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I am coming to discussion as a voice of experience, and Hope.
Recently, five months in TX., there was a need to change my insurance.
I started on Pegysus Interferon, I experienced sides as we all do in our own way.
Five months in, I was told that the new insurance company refused to pay for Pegysus and asked me to try Peg-Intron.
After discussing with Doctor, I agreed to try.
I won't go into a whole lot of painful issues, but I was poisoned from the change.
I was hospitalized two seperate times.
8days- the first admitt
5 days- The second
I lost two months of TX and my own life.
Good news- I will begin Pegysus tonight, and will finish TX as planned in December. I have contined to remain undetected through this whole experience. God is Good

Sorry to hear they did this to you and hope you get back on track soon!
I never went on the treatment. I don't trust doctors....I believe they have too many conflicts of interests $$$.
But I am doing ok after twenty some years, so hang in there.
God has a plan for each of us. Not always the same; but neither are all of us.
