Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Anybody out there taking BP meds on top of all the other crap we're swallowing and injecting? I was taking 2 kinds: Altace & Norvasc . Once I started treatment my BP went so low that I dropped the Altace. It's supposed to be hard on the kidneys and causes depression. Sounds like a dumb thing to give someone on tx...
I do know that my BP went lower when on TX (but it was not high prior to TX) and my heart rate went quite high while on TX. My pre-tx resting heart rate was 60-70 and on treatment it went to 80-100. Now I'm 10 weeks post tx and my resting heart rate is back to normal. Guess my point is that tx does seem to mess with some people's BP and heart rate.
I did have to start taking thyroid meds when I was on TX though and I still am on them now.
