BL-8030 is a small molecule, which can be swallowed to suppress the substance thought critical for the replication of the hepatitis virus.

It's interesting to me that some of these companies are not deterred by the huge lead other companies have on them...especially when the actual drugs that are in the lead don't seem to have many weaknesses to exploit. I kind of admire it, and I'm glad if it leads to more choices in the future...but I don't understand it, either. I'm not a big business guy, I guess.

It's all about developing the next generation of drugs. This one is preclinical but looks very promising. Maybe even fewer pills for shorter duration , less risks and broader eligibility ..bring it on!

I agree - Bring it On!
After my last post I started thinking that it would be wild if there was a one pill, one time treatment...and then I started getting really goofy and thought of Bioline making ONLY ONE SINGLE PILL that people would make a pilgrimage to, so they could touch it...and then they'd be cured. It would be in some kind of mysterious shrine...
Well...like I said, I'm feeling goofy, which is a welcome relief. It took a long time since dx for the needle on the Angst-O-Meter to come down. Finally, a little acceptance...
