Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Good luck to those in tx!
I am now 14 months post tx and I have had more viral load tests done as I have been in full panic mode that the Hep C was back.
I also have 2 prior attempts with old tx that still stay in my mind.
I have finally realized that my liver is NOT 100% and will give me a little trouble from time to time. Trying to relax as I mean for real I have had about 5 viral loads done (requested by me FEARING that the virus was back).
just wanting to end my life if it was.....So now I wonder all those times I was sick in the past thinking it was the Hep C, just what is going on inside of me that I blamed the Hep C for?
I never sought any help as I ASSUMED it was the hepatitis C and possibly it never was......Going Tuesday to get scoped as my problems are still there, whatever they are...
