Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. I was just wondering if any of you have ever used Essiac tea to treat HCV, and if so, what the results were?

i;ve never heard of anyone using essiac for hep c. isnt it usually used for cancer?? i bought some for a friend of mine's hubby a few years ago, but she said it was a pain in the rear end to prepare and never used it. i was disappointed bout that cos it wasnt cheap and her hubby died later that year. if she had have taken the time to prepare it for him who knows what might have happened. but everything happens for a reason and i guess it was just his time right then.
it would be interesting to hear the effects on hep c if you use it. keep us informed please.

I keep getting junk email about this tea. I haven't read them, but will as I'm sure I'm getting these because I belong to several HCV newsletter type groups and browse HCV websites. xoxo

While I did use it at one time, I haven't made any in the past couple of years, but I had been using it to treat both HCV and diabetes (which I was diagnosed with back in 1974). It is used to treat a variety of ailments, among them cancer, HCV, and diabetes. Yes, it IS quite a hassle to prepare, but I think it is well worth the effort. (It must be boiled for 10 minutes, then left to brew for 12 hours, after which it is simmered for another 10 minutes before being put into colored -or foil wrapped clear - mason jars and sealed).

If anyone is interested in getting some, please let me know, and I can give you a website to go to where it is sold. (I have no affiliation with this site, other than having purchased items from there in the past.)

I have to be honest they keep coming out with new things that can cure or help with HCV, that is with the alternative medicine section, I think they do it to sell there herbs, because if you pay close attention to it, it changes they get a new one wich will cure people, every once in awhile. You can make alot of money buy saying something may help a sick person and coming out with something different every few months.
