I am also in pain management, and I deal with daily pain.
I did the Sovaldi/Riba treatment for 24 weeks.

I made it somehow....Doc had to lower my Riba to 1/2 dose, 600mg
as I could not handle the full strength, but it still worked.

My pain gets better daily.....Somehow this disease affects our entire body everywhere.
I have cut down on my pain meds not completely in half, but almost.
It is really worth it and keep that in mind while you are doing tx.

Do it before they change their minds again!!

Treatment is not anywhere near as bad as the old stuff. If you have a lot of anxiety, you might want to get on something for that now because Riba tends to make things worse. I was already taking something for anxiety but it still flared up worse at about week 4.

I think that once your liver starts functioning better because it is healing, maybe your pain receptors will settle down a bit too. I hope so. You can do it !!!

Thank you all so much. I've just been through so much in such a short amount of time - no different than most of us humans - but I am all alone in this. 7 months ago I moved 6 hours North from where I used to live for 5 years & now, up here, I know very few people in this tiny new town.

I was gonna write more, but I've been crying for days now & it seems pointless anymore.

Zennah ..I am so urging you to go ahead with this tx I am starting the same Sov/riba soon as well and also suffer from chronic pain from a major car accident .
I am really nervous because the last tx was awful INF/Riba and it failed anyway so I pinning my hopes on Sovaldi and that the Riba is not as bad without the INF
Pain can be overwhelming on a chronic long-term basis but I think a lot of the pain we are in is also the HEP C so we can look forward to less pain .. I am at stage 4 cirrhosis geno 3 so have had to wait for sovaldi a long time I hope we can walk this tx path together and boost each other up ...Try to get out a little and meet some new friends it can really help .and maybe a doc can refer you to an anxiety specialst near you ..
We are all here to support each other and the people on here are really great and dont mind a vent every now and then

I noticed the depression left almost IMMEDIATELY once I started TX...I did not know how bad it was..my daughter said I was just always grumpy...that was probably putting it lightly..My first or second day I was already lifted up on TX..it is the hope also ...your doc is right we don't see reality in reality when we are sick..it just is...you found friends here this is a great place to live until you can find your life back in order and it will be...I waited 7 yrs for this day and with lttle hope it would become a reality ...IT DID...thank God and if you believe he is the great GREAT Comfortor...I surrendered to God years ago...in His hands not mine...but hard to keep it there as a control freak that I am...practice practice practice till it becomes
