i too was not able to work this summer i worked in a food wagon with the carnival, it hurts but i am on the pegintron-rebatol treatment an hope to get into remission angliz

Just an observation, I find it funny that you cannot work preparing food although you can be vaccinated against Hep A & Hep B but your health care worker who draws your blood or puts in your IV could have Hep C (a blood borne disease). I'm a nurse and on my job we use something called standard precautions - we assume everyone we come in contact with has a potentially communicable disease. That means we protect ourselves with all patients. Hep A is food borne not B&C - I have prepared meals for my family my entire married life and none of them have gotten Hep C. I want my food preparer to wear gloves and personal safety equipment while he prepares my food - I can catch more than Hep from him - and I want my nurse or doctor to wear gloves, gowns, goggles, etc when they perform procedures on me that might bring them in contact with my body fluids.

The only thing I was told on my job is that I would not be allowed to do surgery or continue to work in open heart because of all the blood involved.

I would call your heath department and inquire if this fact is true. There are federal laws protecting people with illnesses and being discriminated because of it in the work place. I doubt the state has such a law because they can't counterdict the federal law. In fact I just researched real quick and couldn't find any stating you can't work in a resturant setting with hepatitis in ND, but did find that even your state has laws against discrimination in the work place. So please, please check with your health department before resigning your job. It sounds to me your employer might be "one of those" types and is discriminating against you.
