Don't hesitate with those types of symptoms dear! Now have you been checked for anemia??? If not, ask your doctor to do a CBC & differential and whatever else he may order for your blood work Stat!
Which means to get the results back as priority one or ASAHP which means As Soon As Humanly Possible okay???

You may be lacking some vitamins or minerals like iron. etc.,
or something worse that's immediately dangerous or even life threatening!!!

So don't procrastinate with what you're experiencing and get to your doctor ASAHP!!! You'll feel better that you did regardless of the outcome.

I'm sorry you're having such pain. I've found my arthritis is worse now, but ibprophen helps a lot, and I don't have the pain every day.

I feel for you having to stand for long periods of time. I could never do that. I can walk - but not stand still for any period of time. I've been off tx 10 mos. How long have you?

Like the others said, it takes a while for our blood counts to come back up. I take a mult-vit, plus some extra folic acid tabs 4xweek, drink oj & eat plenty of other fruits & veg.

Maybe your primary can order bloodwork that would check all levels - vit D, proteins, etc.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I did 24 weeks of SOC and it took me six months to detox the drugs from my system. Two weeks post tx, walking one mile was like walking four! I would be exhausted!

These meds are hard, and when your blood work shows such abnormal numbers throughout tx, it has to work extra to get them back to a normal range.

I agree with Shadow. I felt my best at two years post tx and I only did half of the tx she did. It's different for everyone. Some feel great by a year post, others longer.

Good idea to talk with your physician, and have some tests ran. Hope you are feeling better and back to running!

So people knows the treatment she did.We that only we suffering, but maybe it's not the case.As it looks like.

I made a post about this , but taken me a year of practice to run 2 miles all at once. My leg muscles just couldn't take it. My other friend cant run at all. use to be an avid runner. Today only walks.

Thanks for listening all. A lot of times no one wants to hear it because I was on the new "miracle" drugs. But the drugs did damage. It was 8 weeks of hell and intense pain but I know it's better than 6 months to a year of hell and intense pain...still I am not ok and I think people need to know that the new drugs with ribavirin do have side effects, bad ones, and that it lingers. Not so people won't take the treatment but so they will know what to expect and maybe doctors would be able to handle it better. The whole time I was on the meds, doctors were very dismissive of me until I hobbled in with black, blue, and red welts all over my legs (no, I did not fall or get beaten, it was all from the meds) and the pain in my hips, knees, and ankles was crippling. Also, I had a strange growth under my right calf and scabs on my head. Plus all the emotional stuff, fogginess,depression, paranoia. Also a pounding heart and insomnia. So, yes, I am much better. I am happy to be SVR 12 but people need to know the new meds are not side effect free for all.

I hope my doc can help me. I hope the aches eventually go away and I hope I can eventually work out or even be active without feeling like my life force has been zapped.

I find it hard to believe that any duration of an intense medication would be free from side effects. I am glad you are sharing your experience.

This is the best example why everyone deserved to be heard, regardless of the outcome of the treatment. And because someone cured it not means the suffering just evaporated, but when the person makes an honest post it is ridiculous to jump her or him, and saying ot got to be only good or nothing. And because others are waiting in line for the treatment they don't want to listen what the frickin pills do toy you miracle drug or others.

The truth always count , and we got to be honest , even if negativity involved as the byproduct. People afraid to voice their concerns, because we are not exactly friendly to each other time to time..I am glad she made this post so everyone know this damn treatment is not just pop this pill, and even is a shorter duration still serious consequences are involved.. We all remember of the little or no side effects of Telepravir, with the 84% success rate, and i guess the truth will comes out about the Gilead stuff eventually, and we wont be surprised if the books will not match the reality, just like happened to us..Honesty goes a long way, and yes we are , and everyone will listen.

The recovery is still ongoing even for me , and i finished almost 2 years now. The muscles are still not in the shape i would like to have them .But the alternative is the way worst. So i take what i got , tuck my tail in and hope for the best in my future.. This virus is just hard to tame , unfortunately this is the best science can offer at this time to fight back.. So its better to get ready for the worst and walk, then think it will be a piece of cake and it was all only a talk.....

i finished treatment almost 4yrs ago. 48wks of the old combo treatment. interferon, riba. im still slightly anemic (i was normal when i started). still have skin issues ( my skin during treatment was a mess). i could not get back into my exercise routine. i kept trying but i couldnt get past 1 day a week. exercise used to make me feel better. more energy, sleep better. i finally thought to check the side effects of the antidepressants i was on. started weaning myself off those right away and immediately felt better. i would suggest checking side effects of any drugs u r on. the prozac was holding me back. if i dont get my walking in my arthritis gets nasty. pretty soon i just want to lay in bed. then everything hurts. feel way better without the prozac. idk if u r on an antidepressant but it could b other drugs also. i work on concrete all day. im 57 so its low impact exercise for me. i find a nice brisk walk 4-5 times a week is the only option for me. i still take blood pressure meds but thats it. i had a treadmill in my livingroom but it finally broke. just got a stationary bike from my sister. now i feel better and i have so much to do i overdo it. then i hurt. way better than hurting and not getting anything done. im rambling today. already cancelled this post once. this should b much shorter. cant write today. hep c drugs suck and the side effects last seemingly forever. but check for side effects from any other meds your taking. my experience. idk y i couldnt say that in 20 words?
