Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
A few folks on oral treatments at the moment are reporting feeling better than they have in years after only a short time on all oral treatment.
I am just on my first week of Sovaldi/Galexos(Olysio) and I am feeling more energy than I have had in years.
I don't know if this is psychological or the drugs suppressing the virus already or if a side effect of these drugs is stimulation; maybe a combination of all of those things.
I am feeling more energy, my outlook on life is more positive. My partner even mentioned I even look different, better, more present.
If you have anything to share, please respond to this discussion and perhaps what meds you are taking and how along you are on your course of treatment.

Now I am having problems with low Hemoglobin, so my energy is low,
going for new labs today as Doc is concerned. I am on highest dose
of Riba 1200mg.

However, I never really noticed NOT feeling well that I could directly point to HCV for, since I have other issues and am on other meds...
My biggest reaction to S&O was feeling like i was on a placebo!

Off for a dya fo biking today so covered in SPF 30 except for a small spot on the back of my hand to see if it reacts to sun. Not everyone has an issue with sun rash so what to see the results end of day.
Not starting anything just yet - solv & riba will be it - Helps so much to see those feeling better on tx, especially for those of us who had a tough go on soc.
