Will someone help me understand this hep b better in the DS they don't discuss to much about hep b.it seems this group have more to offer and this group helps u manage ur situation better
This group focuses more on HepC and the treatment of same, and all the issues surrounding having HepC and treating HepC, which is quite the full-time occupation, for many of us develop so many other things that happen due to what HepC brings about, or can bring about.
I had HepB at some point but my body cleared it by itself (meaning it never went Chronic, and was only in an Acute stage, but I have no idea for how long - Acute generally means short lasting, while Chronic means long-lasting, of course).
The best course of action is to ask your Doctor to fully explain the diagnosis and the prognosis (projected outcome once treated) in each individual's case, as well as asking about what the treatment for Hepatitis B involves. If you are in the U.S., the link below is also a good reading resource.

One guy my Hubby worked with had "flare-ups" of his Hep B, but he drank a lot and did drugs, so he was not helping his liver at all.
I pray you can get the information you need. I think it is not as damaging as Hep C, but you need support - regardless.
I go to the doc and then I forget all the stuff I wanted to ask, and I even wrote the stuff down. Sometimes you have a good doc and then again there is the one that if you don't like them, change.
I learned that as I got older in life. I am the one paying the Doctor , regardless of how he gets the money, ins. Medicare, Medicaid, whatever - he is getting paid.
Good luck and stay and get your support. I am interested myself about it. I did have the Hep B vaccination.
Now I am sorry I didn't follow thru to see if the Hep A&B Vaccinations still were good a few years later - I told the girl at the lab to forget that series of bloodwork. I had so many bills backed up and I was not sure if it would be covered again.
I hate getting stuck with bills and sometimes my ins is weird.
