Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
For anyone who has nausea as a symptom-do you routinely wake up with it? And, is the nausea worse after eating or do you have it pretty much whenever? The reason I ask is because I also have Gastroparesis-a disorder of the stomach where my stomach is paralyzed and the food takes a long time to digest. Nausea is one of the prominent symptoms of that also and I am not sure which of the 2 my nausea is coming from.

What are the symptoms of hepatitis C?
If you have hepatitis C, you may have:
yellowing of the skin and eyes
loss of appetite
nausea and vomiting
fever
extreme fatigue
stomach pain
I'm on S/R 12 weeks in my 3 week
If I do not put substantial food in my stomach before and after Sovaldi.
So I eat half my grits/oatmeal, then take the Sovaldi, and then eat the other half of the grits, etc.
If I get too stressed out. When are you taking your Sovaldi?
I was told in the morning after a good breakfast - never at evening due to the insomnia...
I was very nauseous yesterday after spending whole day at MIL's Funeral....Too much for me.
Hope any of these things help. The meds are tough.
