Stay out of the sun!!! wear high level sun screen even on cloudy days! And drink lots of water.
My meds were in 200 mg tablets. First started with 1200mg a day, 600 mg in morning and 600mg 12 hours later.
Since I had to have food with Sovaldi (don't miss this, I mean it, I tried, you will pay for it later)..Anyway, I got up usually about say 7:00, so I was set to take SOV/and Ribs 600 mg at 7:30am. Then take the other 600 mg 12 hours later.
The SOV WILL CAUSE INSOMNIA AND the RIBA a bunch of rage, grinding of teeth, and insomnia, rashes, etc.
The SOV initially gives you a flu like feeling, but it passes and gets easier by the week. The Riba he was forced to reduce due to severe anemia and oxygen levels (always happens to me).
Everyone gets different tablet doses.....Since mine were 200 mg each, he was able to change me to just 200 mg in morning with SOV and 2-(or 400mg 12 hrs later)
Since I developed insomnia and was getting up like at 3 or 4 am, I started taking my Riba and Sov earlier and earlier as my hours changed.
I wish you the very best and I can't say enough about the water. Other things do NOT count (for me anyway).....I had to drink 6 bottles a day and it was so hard to do that...You will feel sick if you don't and have more rashes, etc if you don't keep it up. Don't know why water and diet mean everything to help the way you feel.
Very hard for me to say NO to people and I pray it does NOT affect my end results....Nobody seems to understand what we are going through.....NOBODY.....Put yourself FIRST!!
Best of luck!! YOU CAN DO IT!!
Eating some fat like p'nut butter when you take it increases absorption but I don't know if that's truly a good thing. Get something to help you sleep and be very thankful you're not taking interferon every day of your short tx regimen.
Around noon or between noon & 3pm worked for me.
Some say take riba 12 hours apart, but others take all together. When they lowered my riba, I could only take 1 riba pill per day, thats 24 hours apart. No problem.
