Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Hey all-
I came on here a month or so ago confused about a lab test. It was one year post tx and had read under 25 not quantifiable. I thought that was good until a month or so ago when I looked back at it and began to wonder if it had come back or not.
I got off tx (Incivek and Interf) in 2011, got my blood work back 6/29/15 and I AM CLEAR!!! UNDIE UNDIE UNDIE!!!! My ALT/AST also went sown as well.
I wanted to reach back out to give hope. I know not many are still doing the incivek tx (I was in the first group to ever try it) but I am here 4 years later still clear! There is hope for long term SVR :)
If anyone needs anything, or has questions please reach out.

as i just wrote to someone else who is SVR , it is a good thing for me to hear as i am not feeling well lately......ok, haven't felt well most of the time since i started tx on the tenth of something...omg i can't even say for sure if it was june or july......i guess july.
that is how bad i feel.
i have moments of not so bad, and in those moments i have a good feeling about the outcome
