Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I saw this and thought it to be appropriate.

"I stare at the mirror and a million faceless souls stare back, pointing accusing fingers at my weaknesses, their criticism biting my flesh like lashes from the cat. I promise to do better. They doubt it.
A pale hand reaches out from the glass and enters my brain, rummages through ideas and ideals, tosses out childhood heroes, crumples religious icons, inspects then disregards long-held beliefs.
This hand of purity purges my mind, and I am left with no unclean thoughts. I lift my pen, and words dribble out onto the paper and I feel reborn. I feel alive. The naked lines tell of my resurrection.
I show my work to the mirror, and they tell me of its sickening deceit and lies, its faults and its failures to lore and to language. My eyes well in despair. I promise to try harder,
I disfigure my traitorous, iniquitous hand with the evil pen as a penance, a punishment, for seeking the Grail and failing miserably, again.
Another thought slowly gropes its way out of the oozing mire of my conscious mind. I spin to face the mirror. This time
