Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Hi everyone.
Just checkin in. Now, that I had rotator cliff surgery last Tuesday I'm going to schedule appoint with my doc to get started on treatment for the 5th time. The last 3x TX I ended last February never held up when I went for blood work in July.
Other than healing from the surgery I'm still healthy as a horse. Was supposed to be in a sling for 6-8 weeks but after less than a week I am able to regain pretty good motion with little pain. Most painful when laying down at night but again that's getting better daily. Didn't want to have to deal with TX while healing but think I'm ready to give it another shot. Doc,indicated last month during upper GI that TX will only be 12 weeks.
After doing 11 months last time and 18 months on another previous TX 12 weeks is nothing. Actually looking forward to it.
I know eventually I'm going to beat this bad boy but I hope I can get it done before the liver is completely shot. Will update as things happen.
