because you have had to struggle with calls to your doc every step of the way, some folks here held onto their first shipment until they had the second shipment in hand before starting so if there was any problem with any fo the shipment.s, they had some time to deal ith it.....as i said, just a thought...

I had no prob with my first 4 months, but then the insurance co. started to require re-authorisation. It was touch and go for a few days, and I had to really push to get it thru in time to not miss any days. They had not told my doc about this requirement, I am guessing because these TXs are so new that things change all the time. My doc even said that he has to keep checking the relevant websites on a daily basis to keep abreast of changes. It is a good idea to get the authorisation number from the insurers, and a stipulation of the TX length written on a letter or email. That will be a help if there is a hiccup down the line with the drug supplier.
I know that feeling of having such an expensive drug in your hands, and the worry that the cats might develop a liking!

My 12 week supply of Sovaldi, Peg, and Riba came all at once. I, too, had random thoughts....I had over $84,000 meds in my house, and what if my cat rolled my Sovaldi bottle throughout the house, and I could not find it.....home invasion with GIMME THOSE DRUGS thugs...And I looked at the Sovaldi pill and thought about everything that went into it and how lucky I was to have it all in my possession!!When looking at the pill I thought, "Is it too big to swallow???" Nah, it went down smoothly.

Good idea warrior... How do I go about holding on to it? Gilead is covering the cost of the sovaldi. Do I reorder now or wait 28 days? That is actually one of my worries. Im afraid to try to fill the script and for some reason Im not able to get it. Im going to call Gilead first thing Monday morning to see if I can get some more info. I actually carried the bottle to the medicine cabinet as if I was carrying a pot of hot water. lol so silly, but Im glad Im not the only one with silly thoughts. :)
Im nervous about the Riba. Im hoping due to my age (im 36) that I can tolerate the meds better than if I was older. I dont know how I got this, but I have a feeling that I have had it for many years. I know that I have had this for a long time because I definitely have noticeable side effects from the hep c. I am geno 2b and will be doing 12 weeks of treatment!
