I just wanted to provide an update and maybe some hope for anyone still suffering with Hep C.
I completed my 48 week 3x tx for Hep C 6 months ago. I am getting ready to get tested again as a follow up; however, I have been negative since 12 wks of tx.
My hair is finally growing back in although I lost all of my natural hair...It is poker straight now but the bare spots are gone.
Energy level isn't what I had hoped but much better than 6 mo ago.
If you are still suffering or going thru tx.please now there is hope. I am living proof of it.
Love to all....together we can kick Hep C in the ass.

Hey you thx for posting ur update. It was great to have hair grow back and not go through torture anymore that's for certain. Wishing you the best on your SVR labs. Felt great to get. I had a scare then as one of my liver enzymes had shot way up so I thought my undetectable VL was bogus. Anyway everything was great at recheck so my liver enzyme lab was thought to be spurious. Of all the labs to have an error. In any case, it's been nice forgetting about the rigors of tx. I'll get my next VL drawn in January. I was feeling very PTSD after tx so my first VL after tx was my 6 month labs. I didn't want to know if I had relapsed prior and even now I'm not even worrying about it. In this case, ignorance had been a little bliss. One big change since finishing tx is that now I *really* enjoy whiskey. I must've sprung some country roots on tx. :-D

I've always had super straight hair, and my hair didn't start falling out until a couple weeks post my 28 wks of Triple Tx. So I chopped it off short, and it grew back in with htese big curls, spiral curls in the back, and wavey in the front. I am amazed at having curly hair, I just keep squeezing it and playing with it. Not sure if these 'chemo-curls" will last though.
