Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

.I am doing ok Sov/Riba a few SX so far but so much less than the INF/Riba so I'm not complaining
I am trying not to worry that it is not working due to the lack of bad sides ...but I tell my self to not even go there..LOL
,I am just glad to get the chance at the late stage I was at
Thanks for your research and sharing ..
So of course you are enormously inspirational. To me you seem to come across as a positive person, who does research to not just accept the status quo , and be an active participant in your own journey, whether HCV tx or whatever life throws at you.
I do things like breathwork , etc, as well.
it's funny , I always have skin problems and odd rashes and by the time I began tx I was itching (abdominal area and chest, especially) When I started tx, the itching increased dramatically but then , all of a sudden (just as I became 'severely anemic') the itching , well......it disappeared like magic ! I think it was the liver/virus and the tx is working.
But I digress... ( I get overly word-y , too, for me it is a dog I live alone with )
This is a new do over for you , that is how I see it !
Do you have any special things you will do , to kind of celebrate ?
Just a note: I got back in the sun too quick and I did get little pistules
or rashes. Now almost a year post tx and I was in the sun getting
burnt (not by choice) and no rash!! I did the Riba also.
Yah!!!
I'll still keep all my Supplements the same as they are until I'm done with the Chemical junk. I know that by starting several of the Amino-Acids & other Suppl's which are specific to Anxiety & Stress-or-Depression Reduction, it helped me get thru this, since I chose to go thru this entirely alone. I think twice a neighbor came by to help me, but I really didn't need much help from others cuz I am relatively healthy (except for all the herniations in back & neck & my problematic feet)...
Cheers to getting completely well, everyone!
P.S. to answer ThisToo - My celebrations are simple ones ... longer walks, a hike to a new spot. My birthday is 9/25, so I might go on a trip the 23rd thru 26th, but I'm more focused on getting out of debt & learned long ago the value of taking care of responsibilities first, celebrate/play afterward. I don't go out to eat much at all, so if I don't go on a trip, I'll definitely go to a good restaurant that night. my last fiance died on 9/26 back in 2013, so to celebrate that this year, I will begin to get off Valium beginning on that date.
I get off track, easily too (They tell me it's the Soma)... yeppers!
I took a very long time to get to where I am now (I think it was the Riba)
My anxiety stayed a very long time. I figured I took it for 24 weeks, so that was at least most 24 weeks to clear it all out.
I am weaning myself off meds and it is working!! I do it slowly also.
I feel so good now, I have to pinch myself.....
I thank the Lord every day for this gift I have been given - the gift of life......
I have tons of energy now, but this weekend I did a great deal -
MOST: 2 nights out to outdoor concerts and then swimming the following day. Plus Friday spent day/night with 22 month grand-daughter followed by dinner with my son & DIL - in the past, I would never have been able to do all of that.
Today I need to rest as it is all catching up to me.
I can tell by post not being in order,
I don't know when to say "stop"...My body needs breaks still.
Once I am off these pills - I will have the energy my Hubby has - that is what I try to compare to....he is 4 years older, but it is good for me to have him to compare energy levels...
I am still paying off medical bills, but I won't complain as I have medical coverage thru Hubby's Company, even though he retired...
Grateful!!
Still awaiting final End of Tx Bloodwork - hopefully will get a call today.
I'm realizing today that K hated her mother (she told me many times how rotten her mom had been, and she said point-blank, that she hated her), but she was the one who pulled her Mom out of an Alz' Unit to care for her at home ... I would visit K & her Mom about 2x/wk soon after first meeting K in Feb, so it was only Feb to first part of May that I'd even known these folks, but what I'm grieving is for her Mom, I just wish I hadn't felt the need to have no contact with anyone, cuz it does appear I've hurt some folks' feelings - see, I got kinda personal about my feelings without all the "deets" - Byron Katie's Facilitator Training for "The Work" taught me all about dropping our Stories (drop the rock, as they say). So, something's stuck!
Oh, and I'm also purging old stuff - not nearly anything close to a Hoarder, but I'm weeding through stuff I know I'll never use anymore & yesterday tossed out old sewing patterns from my 20s onward into the Recycle Bin & was kinda sad to see they didn't reject them & leave 'em back in the bin (as they do with stuff they won't accept). It's so hard to downsize the older we get - okay okay, way off topic now, sorry.
YAY! So, next test won't be until November 9th or 10th!
