Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

(to everybody in treatment: hope this happy post won't bug you too much. i was just remembering how sick SICK i was last new years as it was right in the middle of treatment. was grouchy as hell. didn't want people to call, come over...didn't want tv or music on. so i know how you all are feeling. sending you lots of love and lots of hugs...hang in there...you're all doing fantastic and we love you)
