OK, so it has been exactly one week today at 8 am since I took my last percecet. I don't want any pills at all. All I really want to know is when am I gong to feel even just ok for more than 2 hours at a time. I am suppose to go back to work next week but at this point I;m not sure I can!!! Especially since the elevators are going to be down for the rest of the month at least and I think I would probably have a heart attack if I tried. I had such bad heart pulpations yesterday and though my heart was going to come out of my chest. At times I couldn't stand up thinking I was going to pass out. My blood pressure was low 116/65 and considering I have high b/p that is really low. Going up 4 floors of stairs is not an option right now but, I need my job so I guess I have no choice. What a mess!
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

No answers about work but I am so amazed at your strength and determination, and it is a wonderful thing that your heart is beating so strongly with a determination to live life. Take it one day at a time. You will either be able to go to work, or you wont, you will either be able to go up the stairs or not, What will be, will be. Meanwhile ....breathe, two hours of wellness at a time will soon become three will soon become...... (:

I don't know your story - I believe you've been dealing with dependance issues - I don't doubt every step forward feel very steep and uphill - physically, emotionally. If you are medically (medically determined) unable to walk up 4 flights of stairs I would think ADA would apply - don't know anything about the companyyou work for - if you choose (it is a choice - may not like the outcome but it is still a choice) to go to work you can take it very slow - rest between flights - I felt that chest pounding thing while on Tx and it is scary - one of the promises of recovery is we will realize God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves - I suggest focusing on how great you're doing, do what you can and let ur higher power have the rest - you're not alone - you also have good support here - you're really doing great - best of luck

As for work.............will your doc give you a "stay off work" note thingy??.........that should be all ya need to take a little time off and recover:):)

congrats that is a huge accomplishment Debbie. Stay focused and stay strong sister. Lots of prayers help me and I will keep you in my prayers as well.

Hi Deb. Congrats for making it a week so far. That's progress.

Did something specific cause the heart papitations yesterday or does that happen alot? What about the not being able to stand; did that happen once or often? And with your super low bp, are you keeping your dr aware of these things? Don't take chances. It just may be that climbing 4 flights of stairs at this point will do you in. See what your dr says. Hopefully each day will get better & better. Maybe 3 more days will make a difference.
