Hepatitis B Support Group
Hepatitis B virus infection may either be acute (self-limited) or chronic (long-standing). Persons with self-limited infection clear the infection spontaneously within weeks to months. There are currently several treatments for chronic hepatitis B that can increase a person's chance of clearing the infection.

Its me totog again..i am also suffering from this bdisease. I got to know that indian actor amitabh bachchan is also suffering from the same. I am on homeopathic medication. .. my question is how important is the AFP (alpha feto protien) test. My current reading is 0.84... can anyone tell...
Probably because hep C is more common in the U.S. And hep b is more common in Asia.
My recent test showed active (high viral load) am somewhat scared because I don't know much about hep b. I have an appointment on 15th to discuss starting treatment.
Please feel free to message me to support each other?
Yes Hep B is very common in Asia.
My father has very high HBV viral 403,1000,000 IU/ml but he takes Japanese supplement YHK to control ALT and AST level.
Since his ALT and AST is under control and in normal range so his doc only monitoring his liver condition regularly without any treatment.
He has been talking it for few years now and looking good to him so far. But the only concern for this supplement is the price. It isnt so cheap but for his health It's worth every penny!!
One site that I shared with them that helped shed a lot of light on the disease was http://edguidance.com/sti/hepatitis-b/ be sure to check it out if you're looking for more information on the disease.
