Hemorrhoids Support Group
Hemorrhoids are the swelling and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. Two of the most common types of hemorrhoids are external and internal hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids are those that occur outside of the anal verge (the distal end of the anal canal). They are sometimes painful, and can be accompanied by swelling and irritation.

I have been able (occasionally) to get a prescription for a local anestic (numbing cream) Apply before BM to allow it to take effect. the application has a lube effect that reduces friction of BM passing.
use of vasoline or lube or water is helpful in passing BMs during a flare up.
but a tub soak with hot/warm water is soothing during a BM during a flare up.
Keeping that area really clean minimizes itching.
When I die, God and I are going to have a conversation with him when I get up there (okay if) and tell him his butt design is not so good...
