Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
I noticed that in the article: "In a large Norwegian study, 65,238 subjects were screened using TS, and when it was elevated on two determinations, cases were confirmed by genetic testing and/or liver biopsy."
As I have posted before, I use TS% to decide if I need to get phlebbed. If TS% is above 40% in me, I get brain fog. So I make sure I get phlebbed. I should note I've never been anemic.
