Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
ok, so i've been so down and bitter with a lot of negative comments. running down dr's and such. so for that, i won't to apologize. after all, my objective is to draw ppl to me, instead of away from me....right?
so this morning on facebook, i was reading comments and shaking my head and a light bulb went off over my head. dr's ARE mostly idiots. the thing that separates the the good ones from the bad ones is whether they are a==holes or not...because they are human too.
once you get passed the science....their diagnosis are nothing but opinions and guesses. and we (almost as a forbidden) as a group are apparently a threat to drs. I cannot count the times that i have gone to the dr with a complaint (looking for sympathy of course) cause we all know that's the best medicine....right?......and the dr has said, " well, HH wouldn't cause that", but yet, the common denominator between everyone of us in this group is.....TA DAAAA.......Hemochromatosis.
soooo, the next time you go to the dr and they make that very disheartening statement...ask them....."how long have you had HH?" and see what their reactions are....and pppllllleeeaaassssee, let me know what they say. after all, if they don't have it....how do they know how we feel?? remember....science....opinion :-/

you have to be your own advocate, as we used to say in the military, cover your ass CYA . yes they even let monkey's in the military!!
get and keep copies of all your tests and labs. helps to track stuff.
