Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.

Attached is a link to a nutrition handout that I have been using recently to help me from loading up again. Between this and the "Hemochromatosis Cookbook", I have actually dropped 8 ferratin points in the last month without having a phlebotomy. I make no claims to a miracle and your results may vary but good nutrition is never a bad thing. I recommend both these documents as interesting reading. I am no expert but I'll be happy to answer whatever questions I can.
