Maybe if you gave blood, or if a female had your period during that time frame. Depending on your age, your ferritin is not real high. If it was 500+ then I would be of more concerned to me. Need a real doctor's opinion not some Internet person like me on your situation.

Really need more details about you and what you may have been doing during that two week period. If nothing like I mentioned before, then I am at a loss. I have had different labs comeback with different results, but mine ferritin level was much higher at the time.

i have been getting treatments since 2016. when i first started my ferritin was 23oo. every two weeks i gave a bag of blood. Lately i have only given a half of bag due to clotting. i have not changed anything. It really shocked me that it dropped that much. I am a 58 year old female. i have a real doctor. i was just wondering if anyone else had experienced that.

You have been through a lot the past years and have more experience than me. When I was doing a deep dive I gave 8 units of blood in nine weeks. That dropped my ferritin from 800-1000 down to 13. I have not had any blood tests in between two donations like you have had, so I cannot say if your experience is unusual or not. Sorry, but your experience is out of my league.

Yes. In 2009, I was diagnosed with a ferratin count of almost 7000 and put on 2 phlebotomies a week for about 7 months. During that time, my ferratin count would drop anywhere between 50 and 300 points per bleed. It even went up at one point (my body was pulling a lot of iron out of storage, I think).
Now I go every three months or so and a typical drop, for me, is about 200 points.
