Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
Yesterday I got bored so I took out my medical records and started figuring how much blood I have had taken with my phlebotomies since I was diagnosed in 2005. It was over 12 gallons, All I could say was wow, thats a lot of blood. so If I live another 40 years At this same rate I will give 102 gallons in a lifetime, that is interesting to me.
The curse of the Celts is upon us. I think I'm at less than 2 gallons. Twisted! I can't wait to go tomorrow. What a turnabout. I've been so sleepy the past 4 days.
