Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
Hey so, like a lot of you, I suffer from a lot of inflammation and a lot of joint pain. My liver is inflammed, and also my pancreas from time to time. Does anyone take a baby aspirin on a daily basis?
Because I had knee troubles even when I was in high school, i was put on pretty high dosages of Ibuprofen then naproxin which have somewhat scarred my stomach lining. As such, I cannot really take motrin, Aleve, etc for any long amount of time.
I am just wondering if taking a coated baby aspirin (with a meal) has helped anyone out there!

Yes, I take an enteric coated 81mg aspirin, daily. My neuro suggested it before I saw my hemo to start phlebotomies (I had gotten my official H diagnosis by my GI). The neurologist said I would have 'thick sludge' and if a car can't run on sludge, then neither can my body. She wanted to reduce the strain and work my heart would have to do & prevent a heart attack (or stroke). Needless to say...... :)
