I had the same pains under the ribs and lower abdomen. I went to a gastro and after tests he said mine is my gallbladder and will have to eventually come out.

Though once I started doing my phlebs and totally changed my diet my abdominal pain went away within a week but had been putting me in alot of pain for months. Also the pain in ribs has gone down alot. As you de-iron see if the pain starts to go away.

Thank you . I feel so unhealthy right now. I am typically active and love to work out. I have always eaten extremely well. Low red meat intake and tons of fruits and veggies. I know stress is bringing on a number of my aches and pains as I have been through some pretty tough situations in the past three months which,is why I ended up working with a therapist to help me with my anxiety. Blah to it all. I want to start treatment and hopefully feel better.

jbelar, yup I have same symptoms, it certainly seems to get worse when I am in stressed mode. I too had h-pylori test came back negative. Let me know how your gastritis stuff go's. A hot shower or relaxing techniques can help the small attacks.
Bloating, stomach muscle pain, I also have this dull pain on left under ribs, not the right side usually. I do have thyroid issues so that might explain, but I do wonder about gastritis?

jbelar; i can 100% assure you that stress affects the gastric system as well as every other system of the body. while in the military i was diagnosed with ptsd, not military related, and that had a nervous stomach.
i got ahead of myself... i had been experiencing all the symptoms you have had plus lots of vomitus and diarrhea, eeeewwww, and had all the tests to try to figure me out.. well they said it was all in my head put me on 30 mgs of valium a day.....
even to this day when i get stress (hh not a factor other than stressing on hh) it hits my guts first. then i get little water like blisters on sides of fingers that get real ugly and itch. i get scaly rash in my eyebrow ( yes i am a unibrow monkey), and psoriasis on rists and elbows.
STRESS KILLS!!! NO IF'S AND OR BUTTS!!
allot of your symptoms are indeed part of hh, it is documented some where... brain fart oops fog..
from what the pathologist i work with have told me about gastritis, it is kinda something they can't quite pin down to one thing, hell it could be diet, dehydration, .... kinda general statement, yep she sick not sure why . so we treat the symtom and hope it goes away on it's own.

your liver, gallbladder and one kidney is on the right side. when they discovered i had hh, i was in the hospital getting ready to take out my gallbladder, after a cat scan ( ching ching) they found i had fatty liver and something spleeny. i went in for extreme pain under right ribs , nausea dizzy yukkkky. anywho i ramble.sorry.
the real definition is inflammation of the lining of the stomach, many causes, booze, anti inflamitories etc etc.....

You liver is just at the edge of the ribcage on the right side, so any pain or discomfort there is important to check out since the liver is commonly affected by HH. Also the liver produces bile for digestion, so liver problems can also show up as digestive problems.

Ok, so i had the ultrasound yesterday. The sore spot was center of upper adbdomen. My doc messaged me yesterday to say my ultrasound looked great. No mention of enlargement or fatty tissue of liver. I have a phone appt with her next week to discuss everything more.
