My wife went to go be with the Lord on Sep. 15th, 2011.
After this (few weeks) I just did NOT think I would survive.

A 3 month old kitten showed up and started sleeping in a Big Plant Pot
on the back porch and I started feeding it. -I guess I needed it and maybe it needed me.
***I feel like my WIfe and God sent this little wonderful creature into my life
to let me know she was ok and is keeping an eye on me.

The ceiling fan and light stopped working during my wife's time at home in her last days
which was her wish to come home. I bought a fan. For last 3-4 months this fan and light did NOT
work no matter when I would try to turn it on. --Now a week ago the fan and light has started working. I cannot understand this. Cannot explain this.

I have been at the Cemetery and one time many butterflies were around me and would not leave for couple minutes. I feel that might have been a sign. -If we just open our eyes.
I welcome any comments, I know she is safe with God now but it is almost impossible to get through a day without her. I know she is in my heart and soul and still lives in me, that gives me comfort.

I am very sorry for your loss. The kitten might very well be "sent" and I would treat it as such. I think the butterflies WERE definitely a sign. God uses the natural world to communicate to us although most pay no attention, and so miss these crucial communications. Your wife is also in a place where she may be allowed to communicate with you through things such as this. It's only six months, you're still in the middle of working through this awful, horribly awful, grief process. It does get "better". It won't ever be gone, but you don't want that to happen; it will change, from pain to happiness at good memories. And you WILL re-unite with her one day as well as with all the people and animals you have loved and that have loved you. I know, I know, all these religions tell us that only PEOPLE are in "heaven" but I know that's not true. God doesn't make "throwaway" life. And I had an experience once that proved to me animals are in "heaven". Cherish the kitten.

Hi Mike. I am so sorry for your loss. My husband was called home to Heaven on 12/11/2009. Some days it still does not seem real. I think that everything that has happened...the kitten, the fan and the butterflies...are all signs. I had so many things happen to me after my darling Brian passed on. There was just no denying that he was letting me know that he was still with me. Your loss is so recent, and I understand your pain. Knowing that our loved ones are safe and with God is comforting, but it does not make us miss them any less. Just focus on getting through each day as it comes. I do know that our loved ones try to reach out to us, but we must keep our hearts and minds open to receiving their signs.

I see what you are saying. I believe animals we love so much will be in heaven as well.

After losing my Mom when I was 15 years old and letting my Dad off of life support 8 years ago
September 10th, 2004 (Only 5 days diff. than Adriana's going to be in Heaven) Our wedding anniversary is September 18th which was ironically the day of my wife's funeral. -I just got back from the Cemetery tonight.
God granted Adriana an extension on life after I came home from Iraq when she went through Chemo. in 2007. I have to be thankful but as a person DEATH is just hard for me to deal with. I would not wish her back ill/sick. -I talk to her and God often here at home by myself.

what a wonderful blessing that god would send you this little kitten to care for and to love and to give you much comfort during this time. it happened to me although secretly i asked that a momma cat would come into the yard and deliver her kittens so that i may have one it was just a pipe dream i always had. then about 7 months after my father died a momma cat came around and sure enough delivered them I only asked for one but now i have three its been a year now and not one has left the yard. it showed me that god is listening to our deepest desires it may take years to be answered but he does hear us and and if it be his will he will give to us what we ask him .............god bless

I've also had an experience when you talked about the butterfly although there was only one. I got into my car and all the windows were closed. how did that butterfly get in there i thought. i opened all the windows thinking that butterfly wanted to get out but, to my amazement, the air was blowing throughout the car, the butterfly sat on the dashboard and i had a long ride in the car, and didn't fly out just sat there a beautiful colored butterfly. then I put the windows back up, butterfly still sitting on the dashboard and i thought omg I need to let this butterfly out so he doesn't die, i was ready to open the windows again and looked, the butterfly was gone. so I've heard about having the butterfly/butterflies around you when someone has passed but this was my first experience with it. so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. May GOD help you through this hurtful and painful time. tc laura
